At Fashion Law Institute Spain, we take care of promoting and developing Fashion Law in Spain by collaborating with different actors who interpret the world of fashion: designers, entrepreneurs, models, brands, textile companies, as well as with the Fashion Law Institutes worldwide. .

On November 21 we will celebrate the First International Meeting of Fashion Law Network, an event where fashion, law, new technologies and sustainability will be protagonists. The topics will be treated with an international vision by speakers from various countries. At the event we will present the international Fashion Law network.

The international speakers will talk about the development of Fashion Law in their country and will give a global vision of current issues in the fashion industry from the perspective of Fashion Law.

COLOMBIA (face-to-face) María Juliana Marín Villarreal, Colombian, lawyer and specialist in Commercial Law from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, specialist in Intellectual Property certified by the WIPO, specialist in Fashion and Luxury Marketing and Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid and the Magazine Elle Spain, with a Master in Fashion Law at the Centro de Estudios Garrigues in Madrid.

Lecture: mechanisms for a Spanish fashion brand to have a commercial presence in Colombia.

CHILE (face-to-face) María José González, from 2016 to date, has served as Director and Editor of the first Chilean fashion law blog “Fashion Law Chile”: fashionlaw.cl. He has also been a speaker in 2016 and 2018 at the International Seminar on Fashion Law organized by the Universidad Mayor in conjunction with the law magazine LWLR. Likewise, on two occasions the aforementioned LWYR magazine has published its articles on Fashion Law.

TURKEY: (face-to-face) Erdem Eren, a lawyer from Bilkent University Law School, Erdem Eren studied at Galatasaray University with a Master of Economic Law (LL.M.), and in Paris at the European Higher Institute of Fashion in Fashion Management and Marketing. Erdem Eren is founder and CEO of Fashion Law Institute Tr (Moda Hukuku Enstitüsü), Turkey's only fashion law institution. At the same time, Erdem Eren is the founding partner of Brandcared, Turkey's first and only fashion management company based in New York and Paris.

ISABEL ANTÓN JUAREZ: Law degree from the Carlos III University of Madrid (2009), Doctor of Law with international mention from the same University (2014). Extraordinary doctorate award 2014. His lines of research focus on European Competition Law, Industrial and Intellectual Property Rights and International Family Law.

JOSÉ LUIS RUIZ, Doctor of Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and Bachelor of Information Sciences. In 1983 he was part of the Corps of Lawyers of the Cortes Generales where he performed his duties in various Commissions, achieving great experience in international parliamentary relations. On its own initiative, in 2001, it created the "Parliamentary Classroom", an international cooperation activity to exchange knowledge on parliamentary management with other countries; also, he was Director of Parliamentary Relations of the Congress. As a teacher, he has been Professor of Civil Law at the Complutense University of Madrid and of Community Law at the San Pablo CEU and Carlos III Universities. He is the author of various books and numerous publications in specialized law magazines.

He has more than 16 years of experience working in fields such as fashion, where he collaborates with Devota & Lomba or Roberto Torretta, television where he develops business for The Walking Dead brand, or Haute Cuisine, where he works with Paco Roncero. He is a professor in various Masters of Fashion and Cultural Industries at the universities of Juan Carlos I and UFV, at the Escuela de Unidad Editorial and at the IMF Business School. He also regularly publishes articles on Licensing in the Harvard Deusto Business Review. He is an Executive MBA from Esade, PADEM from ISEM and MIBer from ISDI. He is the CEO and Founder of Enjoy Brand Licensing, and is currently working on a project to attract potential clients online and convert them offline with Devota & Lomba. Ruben currently directs the firm Enjoy Brand Licensing, an agency dedicated to business development through the monetization of prestigious brands.

ESPERANZA LÓPEZ PRADO, lawyer in the area of Information Technologies and Intellectual Property of ECIJA. He has more than 5 years of experience in advising national and international companies on new technologies, specifically intellectual property, internet, privacy and data protection, electronic commerce and telecommunications. She is also recognized as an External Expert of the Executive Service of the Commission for the Prevention of Money Laundering (SEPBLAC). Law degree from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Master in Telecommunications and Information Technology Law - Carlos III University of Madrid and Master in Intellectual Property and Audiovisual Law, Center for Financial Studies.
